It is our privilege to simplify both residential and commercial moves across the country by offering innovative storage solutions. Our ground level facility, located in Sandwich, IL, features 170 on-site fixed storage units. We also own 60 mobile storage containers available for rental during home moves, renovations, relocations and more. The Trailer Guy’s storage trailers range in size from 15,000 – 16,000 square feet, with our largest mobile unit 24 feet in length.
Our moving services also include access to a wide range of packing materials. The Trailer Guy supplies everything you need to protect personal belongings during your move. The most common items we provide are packing boxes, tape, bubble wrap and newsprint paper, however, we can obtain any other materials upon request. Over the years, The Trailer Guy has developed strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, allowing us to offer highly-customized packing options for our clients.

A note from the Owner, Paul Auten
The idea for The Trailer Guy, Inc. began in 1998 when my father, Dick Auten, had a vision to make moving easier. He wanted the relocation process to be painless for families, especially those that were expecting some sort of delay in buying or constructing their new home.
From that initial idea, came the mobile storage service now known as The Trailer Guy. Today, we have a variety of options to help accommodate your storage needs. We offer mini storage, mobile storage, which can be delivered to your property. Whether it is one day, a week or a year, we are here to help you with affordable, honest and reliable storage.
Growing up in the Fox Valley area, I have come to appreciate many of the local organizations that help sustain our community. Because of this, The Trailer Guy is committed to supporting local groups such as Kendall County Community Food Pantry, area Chambers of Commerce, Moose and Fox Valley Older Adults through fundraisers and donated trailer services.
